    For nearly two decades, I have dedicated my career to serving the taxpayers of Grays Harbor County through fair, accurate property assessments, strong leadership, and continuous improvement.

I began my career in the Grays Harbor County Assessor's Office in 2007 as a Residential Appraiser, where I personally completed more than 14,000 property appraisals and helped train many of the staff who continue serving our county today. In 2014, the voters elected me as your Grays Harbor County Assessor. I have proudly served in that role since January 1, 2015.

As Assessor, I have worked every day to build an office that taxpayers can trust—one that is professional, helpful, transparent, technologically advanced, and focused on exceptional customer service.

Serving as Assessor extends well beyond managing a county office. I have worked throughout Washington State to improve property tax administration and advocate for taxpayers.

Throughout my time as Assessor, I have focused on making government more efficient, improving customer service, and investing in technology that improves the quality and efficiency of the work we do whenever possible.

Some of the accomplishments I'm most proud of include:

  • I replaced the county's outdated appraisal and public facing systems after implementation of Washington's annual revaluation law.

  • Successfully led the conversion to the T2 computer aided mass appraisal and administration system which continues to support the valuation of more than 64,000 parcels and all of our administrative needs as well as being directly connected to the Treasurers office for more efficient work flows.

  • Modernized public access by implementing TaxSifter and later leading development of the county's custom MapGeo GIS website.

  • Introduced iPad field device technology for appraisal staff to improve efficiency and reduce duplicate data entry and keystroke errors for field appraisers.

  • Established a live-answer phone system so every caller reaches a real person during business hours when they call the Assessor’s office.

  • Helped create a countywide process to return hundreds of tax-title foreclosed properties to productive use and back onto the tax rolls.

  • Led continuous improvements that have resulted in the lowest number of property assessment appeals in recent recorded history in 2026.

Legislative Leadership

One of the most important responsibilities of an elected Assessor is advocating for taxpayers before the Washington State Legislature.

As a member of the WSACA Legislative Committee and WACO Executive Board, I work directly with legislators to improve Washington's property tax laws.

Most recently, I helped develop and advocate for legislation that expanded property tax relief for qualifying seniors and disabled persons, allowing thousands more Washington residents to qualify beginning in 2027. This bill was SB 6162. I also plan to continue working on legislation to provide meaningful property tax relief for small businesses through HB 1004 in the next legislative session in 2027.

Looking Ahead

Experience should never mean standing still.

If re-elected, I will continue modernizing the Assessor's Office by:

  • Expanding technology that improves efficiency while reducing costs.

  • Improving statistical valuation tools to produce even more accurate assessments more efficiently.

  • Continuing to strengthen customer service and public access to information.

  • Working with state legislators to improve Washington's property tax system and advocate for Grays Harbor County.
